Projects

Restoration, reconstruction, and archival work — in progress and done.

A flexible project journal. Some projects are physical — restoring a piece of vintage electronics or a forgotten computer. Others are archival — reconstructing a curriculum, digitizing materials, or following a historical question to its source.

The Paul J. Glenn Project — Reconstructing a Thomistic Education

A personal effort to reconstruct and preserve the philosophical writings of the Reverend Paul J. Glenn, whose textbooks introduced generations of students to the Catholic intellectual tradition. The project seeks to assemble twelve principal works through original B. Herder editions, historical digital scans, and newly produced facsimiles from Gyan Books of India. Along the way, it documents the books themselves—their publication histories, physical construction, and enduring educational value. Part bibliography, part collecting journal, and part independent course of study, the Glenn Project explores how an entire philosophical education can be recovered, one volume at a time.

**Initial Project Notes** The first phase is bibliographic: identifying the twelve principal volumes, documenting their publication histories, and locating obtainable editions. Original B. Herder editions are of particular interest, although modern facsimile editions from Gyan Books of India offer a practical means of assembling a complete working collection. The intention is to acquire the volumes gradually, ideally at a pace of approximately one per month, while recording acquisition sources, edition differences, physical condition, and observations on the texts. Ultimately, the collection will serve as the foundation for a self-directed course of study in traditional philosophy, particularly the Thomistic intellectual tradition. **Current status:** Collection and bibliographic research underway.
